Aerangis biloba (Lindley) Schlechter (1915)

Geographical origin:

East and Central Africa, from East Senegal to
Epiphytic orchid from see level until 700m of height.
This species grows on forest borders or in clear forest (woodland), even on trees of plantation as coffee trees or trees inside village areas.

Culture :

Temperate to warm, this Aerangis can be grown potted, in an hanging basket, or mounted on a piece of bark if you can give it enough humidity, as in a greenhouse for example.
It appreciate a not too strong light, a shady place will be very good.
As its roots are fat and strong, it won't bear a too humid substrate. If it is too wet, if you use too much sphagnum, the roots may rot.
Its leaves must be dark green. If they are too clear, it means that you give it too much light.
