Angraecum protensum Schltr. (1925)

Geographical origin:

It is a rupicolous (lithophytic) or semiterrestrial orchid, that grows at high altitude (2000m).
It comes from mainly central Madagascar, Itremo massif, Mt. Analamamy, Ivohibe.

Culture :

This Angraecum should be potted in a semiterrestrial mix and given good light in summer, although full sunlight may be too much during hot weather, the same conditions as for Angraecum sororium.
It will absolutly refuse to flower Under low light conditions.
I have mine in pot, with a mix of perlite, barks, small granitic pebbles and a little of peat.
Watering should be done weekly abd air movement should be fairly good.
Dry conditions during winter are probably beneficial for flower initiation.
