Angraecum germinyanum Hook. f. (1889)

  

Geographical origin:
 
This species comes from the Comoro Islands.
You can read sometimes that this species exist in Madagascar too, but it is wrong.
In Madagascar you can find Angraecum conchoglossum, which is a bit similar to Angraecum germinyanum but with more colored flowers (yellow, orange).
 
Epiphytic, growing in humid evergreen forests at altitude of 1000 to 1200m.
 
 
Culture :
 
This Angraecum grows well potted, with fine barks and a few of chopped sphagnum.
It can be mounted too, but in that case it will need to be misted or drenched daily.
Temperate to warm temperatures and good aim movement are beneficial.
Light can be low to medium (15000 - 20000 lux).
